Shining bright for the very first time, the Little Miss & Mister Shreveport S.T.A.R. Pageant celebrates confidence, character, and community! This inaugural event, produced by Yolanda Black, will take place on Sunday, December 14, as part of the Shreveport Family Christmas Festival.
The S.T.A.R. program — Shining Through Affirmation & Resilience — is designed to build self-esteem, encourage positive self-image, and empower children to see the light that already lives within them. Contestants will showcase their personalities, creativity, and community pride in a fun and uplifting environment that celebrates every child as a winner.

A Spectacular Show
Shreveport Family Christmas Festival & Parade
Join us for a day of family fun, community spirit, and Christmas tradition at the Shreveport Family Christmas Festival & Parade on Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The day kicks off with a Family Workout sponsored by Caddo Parish Parks & Recreation, followed by creative fun with Gingerbread House and Holiday Ornament Decorating sessions for all ages. Explore the Christmas Vendor Market for those last-minute gifts while supporting our amazing local businesses.
Enjoy live entertainment on the main stage throughout the day, then gather your loved ones for the highlight of the evening — the Family & Friends Christmas Parade, bringing lights, laughter, and holiday cheer through the heart of Shreveport.
🎆 The night concludes with a spectacular fireworks show, lighting up the sky in celebration of family, faith, and community.
